IKON is a collective of musicians based around the production talents of Elliot Ireland, Alex Rizzo and Trevor Mac. “It’s always been about taking a flavour from the myriad of people we work with, and making the different elements work as an album” says Elliot Ireland “there are some new faces this time around as well as a welcome return for some of our friends. There’s a bit more of a focus for this album as it was written in the space of about a year whereas the last album spanned material we’d been writing for the previous five years. We’re really happy with the sound.”

Remixes on the single take a couple of different routes. On the house tip there are mixes from Kid Massive who drops a deep tribal house mix and Jody Wisternoff who ups the energy with a pumping club mix. For the Jalapeno funk faithful there are mixes from Austrians Ed Royal & Enne who deliver a downtempo horn rich funker and Germany’s Torpoedo Boyz who drop an energetic funk breaks mix that uses the hook from the original with hot new instrumentation. And of course there’s the original. Expect to hear this at after-parties, chill-outs and beach bars.
